The toggle is at the top of the machine. There are three positions:
- Neutral gearbox. Middle position.
- 1st gear. Slower speed position. Collecting mode. Activated by toggling back.
- 2nd gear. Faster speed position, used for long journeys. Activated by pushing the lever forward.
This function has a very important application. The system allows the machine to direct itself without anyone driving it. At the bottom of the machine there is a horizontal extensible bar that drives the machine itself. When the stick hits a tree, the machine moves towards to the center of the field away from the tree.
This is the easiest and most effective device for automatically steering the machine.
